Therapeutic Cupping and Gau Sha Course

Cupping and Gua Sha course includes theory on both the techniques and a large focus on practical techniques that you can apply right away on your clients.

So what is Cupping and Gua Sha?

  • Cupping and Gua Sha are both ancient Chinese medicine techniques.
  • Both these techniques help increase qi (pronounced as “chi”) and blood flow to improve the nourishment of an affected area.
  • Cupping involves creating a vacuum in a glass or plastic cup, either by using a flame to burn out the oxygen inside or using a suction pump. 
  • Gua Sha is a scraping massage that uses a special tool made of horn or jade.
  • They both work well in loosing up tight muscles, releasing adhesion and tension within a muscle
